Halloween Outfits

Carter is still trying to get used to his glasses and so is mom when she wants pictures taken outside. As these are magic glasses (they turn to sun glasses when outside) and make it hard to do outdoor pictures.
Nadya she loves to show off in her pictures.
Tysen is the easiest out of all three kids to photograph he just sits there and smiles.
I have said it numerous times I love group shots but they are not easy anymore as all three of my kids want to do what they want to do. But I love you anyways.

Nadya's Dress

This dress is very special to me and as I am typing this up (March 25, 2013) I am happy to report that this dress still fits her. Bob gave me this dress as my Mother's Day gift back when I was pregnant with the twins. I was so very impressed because he got the whole nine yards. The dress, sweater, hair bow, and socks. I was so proud of him and on Mother's Day when he gave it to me I started crying (Carter was very concerned) and had to explain to both of my boys that these were tears of joy.
However the dress never fit Nadya until she was two (it was winter time when she first wore it), I never got pictures that day figuring I could do it the next time she wore it. So I washed the dress not looking at the care  label cause I could not find it. When it came out of the wash it had shrunk and was a wad of ugliness. Thanks to my friend Marissa and her sweet husband Houston they fixed it (they own a dry cleaning business) and made it look good as new.  She still gets to wear this cute dress but on rare occasions because it has to be dry cleaned.

Pumpkin Pancakes and DAD!?

Nadya approved (safe) pancake and chocolate (not bad in flavor).
Tysen went straight for the chocolate.
Carter's super excited face. Carter you were so nice that you wanted to make sure that your Dad got one as well, even though Dad could not eat it.
As you can see Dad is currently at home. He was released from Alta View Hospital too early and the very next day was sent back to Riverton Hospital. There we learned that his body was shutting down and needed to have a T.P.N. put in.  But I am so glad that we got this group picture before life went crazy again.
I love my family all very much.

Peterson Farm

I am big on Holidays and getting my kids shirts and taking pictures and decorating and well just making the most of the Holiday. So that in the future I will have these memories when my children are grown and off on their own adventures. I decided that while Bob was still in the hospital we could not just put our kids lives on hold so I took them to Peterson Farm (Little Farmer's Pre-School). Where I tried unsuccessfully to take pictures and then finally just let them go pick out pumpkins. It was scary by myself as this is a working farm. There were tractors and animals running around and my children trying to chase them in three different directions as I was trying to pay for the pumpkins. All in all not sure if I will do it by myself again but it was fun to see what type of pumpkin they would pick and better than anything we visited Bob in the hospital afterwards where they told their Dad all about their adventures at the Farm.

Nadya September 2012

Sometimes you and Tysen are inseparable and I love that you two have a good connection and play well together.
You are such a teaser. You love to cause trouble just to see what happens and lucky for you your other half is VERY patient with you.
You loved feeding the ducks as long as the ducks stayed back.
Since discovering your serious allergy to dairy in all things we have had to find treats and food that you could eat. lucky for us you love meat, fruits and veggies. But when it came to treats that you could have we found OREO's . You love to destroy them (which is good for discovery) and create such a mess that I hate giving them to you (but I do it anyways).

Nadya you have really struggled to go to Dad since seeing him in the hospital with all those tubes and wires. You like your brothers are trying to cope with Dad not being around to play, but it is particularly hard on you when we visit Dad in the hospital (all of the noises and stuff on Dad) scares you. But we are grateful to have family taking care of you so that Mom can care for Dad and keep you busy.
We love you very much Nadya and are grateful that God sent you to us. We love watching you grow and seeing what your interests are. You have handled your new diet rather well, you don't like soy milk but you are getting used to it. Thanks for being our adventures, spit fire of a princess.

Tysen September 2012

Tysen loves to dress up and make us laugh.
Watching the penny roll down the slope.
Who's got cowboy/cowgirl boots? We do that's who.
When I was trying to take a picture with just you and I everyone else wanted to join. You are so good at letting others in on the action and allowing them to play with you.

You  have really missed your Dad this month and have not understood why Dad can't wrestle or play rough with you. But we keep you busy playing with your grandparents and aunts and uncles. You have loved that everyday is a new adventure and that you are always on the go. Thankfully it's warm outside and you are able to ride your bike or play on the swings (these are a few of your favorite things to do).
Tysen Mom and Dad love you very much and know that this is a trying time for you right now, but thanks for hanging in there and being patient.

Carter September 2012

Carter you have always loved to collect rocks and have many stashes all over our yard, garage, and in the mountains at our favorite camp sites.
I love your goofy smile and the fact that you will still take pictures with me.
You are doing a great job with your brother and sister you have your moments as we all do but you keep them happy when they are sad and you protect them from harm. I love that you are my helper and protector.
Nothing better than some Daddy time.

Carter you are loving your Farm school and making lots of new friends. The teacher tells us that you are the leader of the class and what you say the rest of the class does. Make sure that you are making good choices as many follow your lead. You are struggling with your Dad being in the hospital, but you know that they are trying to make Dad better. You love that you get to spend time with both of your grandparents as Mom is busy helping Dad in the hospital. Keep being a good example and great things are bound to happen. We love you very much son.

Dad's In The Hospital

Dad handing out his gifts for his babies after his work trip. This was the beginning of a very long and hard adventure for my sweet husband and family. The next day Bob went to the hospital and had emergency surgery on his abdomen, bowels, intestines, and hernia repairs. His recovery took two months and two different hospital stays. September 22, 2012.
Both sets of Grandma's helped us through Bob's long recovery. Thank you Mary Ann, Tim, Nicole (my sister) and Kayleen for being there for our children so that I could take care of Bob.
Just to cute to not take a picture. One of the rare moments that I was home for.
I am a dude. I am forever grateful to all those who helped with my kids, and watched over us through these hard times.
A present to Bob from my brother Eric and his wife Amy. Bob was very excited about this treat.

After all of Bob's up and downs we learned rather gained a huge blessing from this hard trial. For years Bob was unable to eat anything fiber-us and if some how he did it usually meant severe pain, dehydration and a hospital stay. After his major surgery to repair and take out things that did not belong he was told that in time he would be able to eat whatever he wanted. So after two months of hospital stays and a long round of doing T.P.N. he was finally allowed to try something fiber-us, he choose a carrot. I am happy to report that to this day (since I am blogging about this almost a year later) he is doing great. He loves all vegetables and fruits and has improved our entire families eating habits, not to mention he is not in pain any more.

Trial lasted from September to October 2012

Mountain Breakfast/Mom's Birthday Party

Nadya was thrilled to have her own bucket that she could gather things in.
Dream come true for Tysen he could get as dirty as he wanted to.
Carter was so proud that Papa W was letting him help with the building and starting of the fire. This Mama however was less than thrilled and hovered over to make sure that my baby was safe and listening to his Papa.
Group photo, minus Daddy who sick at home.
Thought that this would be a cute photo. Did not take into consideration that gravity would push them all down so my sweet sister helped hold them into place.
We ended up leaving the mountains early because it started to rain so we cooked and ate dinner in my parents backyard. We also celebrated Mom's birthday.

Copperton Mine

Grandma W took us to the mine. They loved the big trucks and tires.
There are some hands on things for kids to do, they really liked the microscopes.
We tried several times in several different spots for a picture of me with my kids but it clearly was not meant to be.

We had a fun day Mom, thanks for taking us. Carter loves his flat penny and Tysen and Nadya love their necklaces.

Ice Cream

This is just to good to let one drop go to waste.
We finally found a dairy free type of sorbet/ice cream that Nadya can have at Cold Stone.
 Just let me eat mom!
 Family time.
Making and taking pictures of memories to last a lifetime.

The Farm at Thanksgiving Point

They were all afraid that the cow was going to get them.
Wagon ride's make this mom tense and nervous, but they had fun.
Riding the pony and mom making me take a picture.
Tysen kept trying to get the horses head. He would not keep his balance so running back and forth between Nadya and Tysen was exhausting.
Nadya did not want to be on the horse but I made her do it anyways. Towards the end of the ride sh started to warm up to it.

State Fair

This is a compilation of car parts that someone turned into a giant spider. It was tricky to get my kids to stand in front of it.
 Carter petting animals from Australia.
Can you imagine riding this billy goat? Well apparently you can.
This is a science exhibition and my kids loved to make the giant bubbles, that is till they popped. When they burst they sent soapy wetness all over the place.
We got to go get slurpee's after wards. They loved them, me not so much they spilt them all over in their car seats. But I love you all very much.
