Carter July Photos 2012

                                             Acting like a pirate at the Ocean City Aquarium.

                                   Digging my holes in hopes that they wont make me go in the water.

                             Carter is pretty darn good at ski ball, just watch for the occasional stray ball.

Carter your father and I are so proud of you and all that you set your mind to. We know that you will make a mark in this world and we are just so grateful that Heavenly Father has allowed us to be your parents. Remember that we love you and that we are always here for you. Families stick together even when it's hard and crazy you always have family to turn to.

Fancy Nancy Party

                                                     No ice cream just the cone thanks.

Welcome to our 2 annual Fancy Nancy party held at Leatherbe's Ice Cream Parlor. It has become our end of summer tradition and what girl can resist dressing up and going out on the town, not this family. Thank you to all those that participated this year can't wait to see what next years outfits bring.

Pioneer Day

While my sweet husband was cooking breakfast we started fireworks early. Man my kids love the pop rocks (fire work name can't think of). 

                                            Enthusiastically watching the parade on t.v.

                             Throwing fireworks at grandma's shed or the floor take your pick.

Love that this photo actually turned out decent considering there was so much going on that my kids could hardly stand to be apart from all of the fun things happening.

 Shooting with uncle Eric (I had no idea this was happening till I heard the noise). Love that my brother is willing to teach him safety and fun in shooting. Now if only we could get it straight with Carter as to what and when we shoot things that would be great. 

                                    Awe the independence of swinging in a big girl/boy swing.

Bob and I were in charge of buying and lighting fireworks this year and we seemed to have liked the flowers (next year I plead for variety) and a few fountains. We were also the neighborhood fireworks event, that was pretty funny to see people coming out just to see the same fireworks being lit over and over again.

This was my proud and joy finale (I choose this one) and after twenty something pictures was able to capture this great photo.

Neighborhood Parade

Philadelphia Zoo

                                     Carter can now say that he has indeed riden a camel.

                        Not wanting to have their picture taken but to bad we love you anyways.

At the Philadelphia Zoo you are not to feed the ducks (we did not know this) because they will bite and attack you. Luckily for us we were yelled at by an employee and not bitten and we still got to feed the ducks. You live and you learn. 

The very last thing we did at the zoo was of course the train as my children are obsessed with riding on trains and as a bonus "great-grandma" went on the train with them.

Philadelphia Aquarium

Guess who forgot to charge the battery to our camera OOPS at least we were able to get two pictures right? Well the aquarium is also one place that when we visit New Jersey we must stop in and see. Carter really wanted to see the hippopotamuses, and luckily for us we were there right after feeding time so Carter had oh so many questions about what was floating in the water. The sharks and being able to touch the sting rays were just a few of the highlights. Next time we will remember to charge the battery so there will be more pictures (we can only hope life goes as planed).

Road Trip To Baltimore

                                      We came to visit John and Jen (friends from college).

                     Giant battle boat down by the river (close to the seafood restaurant we went to).

                                    Wishing the boat was open to explore, maybe next time.

On the way back to our car we spotted a musical park. Giant instruments that were usable for music and for playing in or on, it was pretty neat to see.

Last Night At The Borad Walk

                                      Most of the cousins all freaked out by the taffy man.

                        Carter loved this ride (Frogger, shoots you up in the air and back down again).

                               I just love how this picture captured Carter running for the front seat.

Carter, Tysen and Nadya's very last ride for 2012. They got lucky and both grandma and Dad went on the train with them.

Last Day At The Beach

Uncle Scott had a raft and let all the cousins ride in it. Carter finally became brave on this adventure and went out in the ocean.

Lucy The Elephant

Every year that we are at the beach I make sure that we go see Lucy the Elephant (she is a historic land mark) this year was the first time that Tysen and Nadya got to see it. They were not too impressed but were more or less grateful to be out of the car.
