Carter's April Pictures

Carter Lee has done some amazing things during the month of April. First off Carter is very proud of being able to do summer saults. The first time that he showed us was on April 7, 2011, once he figured out that this was not as scary as he thought he loves to get our attention and show us his "trick" his little brother and sister think that it's pretty funny. The best thing that happened in April occurred on the 10th. Are you all ready for this Carter stayed clean and dry all night, he was so excited he came running into our room to show us that the lines on his pull up were still there. We are very proud of Carter and keep cheering him on in the many adventures that he sets out to accomplish. We love you little man and hope that you always keep your enthusiasm for school and life.

Nadya's 8th Month Accomplishments

Our miss Nadya loves other peoples cameras just not her aunt Amy's professional camera for some reason. But I am still amazed at the magic they are able to pull to get good pictures out of Nadya. For this month our goal with Nadya was to get her to stay on her stomach for longer amounts of time and to start trying to sit up. She is not thrilled with doing anything but what she wants to do. But I am happy to report that she now likes to be on her tummy looking in a mirror for longer amounts of time. Nadya's other accomplishments for April are trying and mastering the sippy cup on April 8. We are learning that Nadya works better if allowed to work on her own time frame so we are trying not to compare her abilities with those of Tysens (though this is hard). We are seeing progress if she is allowed to go at her own pace, I am grateful to have learned this lesson now so that we can avoid future problems.
Nadya is a sweet girl who has the cutest smile and personality. We love that she wants to try new things (on her own time frame, usually when we are not looking) and the love and patience she has with her brothers amazes me. Keep being the cute girl that we love and remember to smile so the whole world wonders what you are up to.

Tysen's 8th Month Accomplishments

This is our sweet Tysen who is always so energetic and full of smiles. Tysen has accomplished alot during the month of April. On March 31, 2011 he started army crawling/doing the worm and since he's realized that he can move he LOVES it. On April 8 Tysen learned and mastered the sippy cup (which he thinks is great, he loves to drink it then spit it out). One of our favorite skills that Tysen has mastered is playing peek-a-boo (learned this on April 17), he loves to play this game right as we are laying him down for nap or bedtime. Its soo hard not to give into him and I will admit that we have played several games of peek-a-boo with him when he was supposed to be sleeping, but heck they are only young once right? The last thing that has developed is he got his bottom left tooth on April 26, he loves to grab your hand and then try to bite you. When you react to him he just giggles. We love that he is easy going and that he really looks up to his big brother Carter. Love you Tysen never forget where you came from and what you can accomplish in your life.

Eight Month Pictures

These are posted later than I like but better late than never. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

Easter at the Capitol

Easter at the Capitol has been a childhood favorite of not only myself but that of my mom and her siblings as well as my grandma and grandpa Anderson. I am grateful to be able to share this tradition with my children and my husband. This year was a blast, Carter understood what he needed to do to find eggs and how he needed to get his "papa's" help to get the more hidden ones. I am excited to report that this was the first year that my children were not deathly ill (Carter has been the last two years) which made it all the more enjoyable. On a side note as we were cleaning up like we do every year (what we take in we take out) we were stalked by the highway patrol men to clean up every single piece of hard boiled egg that we had played baseball with or face a a fine of littering. To make sure that we cleaned every piece up the cop sat and watched us. Keep in mind we have been doing this for generations and when we would hold still the seagulls would swoop in and eat the eggs. Not sure what this cops deal was but we were his target, needless to say we got it all cleaned up and can't wait to see what happens next year.

Easter Dress

So on Easter Morning after all the fun was done I wanted to get pictures of all the kids by themselves and of the entire family together, these are the results. Keep in mind these are not as good as the pictures that my sister takes (which are going to be posted soon).

Easter Morning

April 24, 2011 Easter morning was soo much fun (I of course had a hard time sleeping that night due to the awaited fun and surprises that were left by the Easter Bunny), particularly waking all three kids (that did not go over so well). But the following pictures show the excitement taking place. The twins did not care too much about the eggs but loved it when I got the camera out. All three seemed to be fascinated by their Easter baskets and Carter loved dumping out his candy every where.
