On Sunday December 5, 2010 we celebrated Carter's 3 birthday. He got to come with me to the party store and choose his theme (which was really hard for him, he ran back and forth between Cars and Mickey) and put together gift bags for his friends. Bob made his Mickey cake and did a fantastic job. We decorated the house Saturday night and on Sunday morning when Carter woke up he was very surprised and ran every where in the house to see where the decorations were at.The cake turned out great but we realized that the frosting was a huge mistake as it turned everyone black including the children's clothing. Luckily it does come out with little effort (just soak it in cold water).
Carter had a hard time understanding that once you open a present you put it down tell them thanks then move on to the next present he just wanted to play with the gifts that people gave him.
When it came time to sing Happy Birthday Carter was mad because we made him put down his Mickey computer or "puter" as he calls it and blow out the candles. However he soon realized that blowing them out was fun and tried really hard to blow them out before we were even done singing to him.
After all the party stuff was done uncle Alex showed him how to use the slinky that he gave him (he really loves to show his brother and sister how it works), aunt Amy got his computer out, and Grandma W. set up his ball tent which he loves (he tried to sleep in it for nap time this afternoon).
