Valentine Activities

For Valentines we would rather teach our children the act of serving others rather than doing the Hallmark version of Valentines day (that's not to say we did not show them they are loved as well). So we make cookies and heart shaped cards and take them around to those who are single, widowed or those who could simply use a pick me up. We have done it for two years now and Carter starts getting us ready as soon as we put up Valentines decorations. I love that he loves to make others happy (which is why "he is always offering to have his mom make you chocolate chip cookies if ever you need them just call me") and I really don't mind if it helps him understand how happy it makes others feel.

As is tradition showing off their Valentines Day outfits.

We decided to "heart" daddies car. Carter had a blast getting up on the car and tapping the hearts on.

Showing off his goodies from his school Valentines Day party. He new which ones were from whom and which ones he knew he could not have (gum).

Revealing what was their last special gift from mom and dad.
