Memorial Day 2011

Traditions are one of the best things about being in a family. Every Memorial Day we set out to Lehi cemetery to "play with the dead" or rather present flowers (frogs to Grandma Anderson). After the cemetery we go to a local park and have a picnic that always includes KFC. This year we kept with tradition even though it was freezing and ate at the park then quickly went to Michelle's to warm up.

As you can tell Carter has the oh man I just got busted look on his face and for good reason to. He was told several times (like we all have) to leave the water alone. Yet for some child like reasoning we think that means we should go ahead and touch it.

The above picture is of Bayli and Lexi our first set of cousin twins holding the current set of twins

Every year since I can remember my aunts have always taken their picture on this bench. In order are my aunts, Verna, Diane, Charlene, Arla and my mom Kayleen.

This year we decided that we would start a new generation on the bench so it is all of my moms kids and children in law as well as grandkids (with the exception of my brother Eric and his wife Amy)

This is where my Grandma Anderson is buried. One of her favorite things in life were frogs and every year my mom finds the perfect frog and we place it around her grave. Amazingly every year we return and all frogs are present and accounted for (thank you to whom ever is doing that)
