12 Days of Christmas

We were so blessed by a secret friend this year with the 12 days of Christmas countdown. If you are the person then we want to THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts it was a rough year and this was such a fantastic way to end it and to remind us what Christmas is truly about.

Some of the secret gifts included play dough, coloring books and crayons, plastic animals, cereal, candy canes and an entire meal (this one came on the right day and I started to cry when I saw it. You must have known it was just what I/we needed). My kids were so excited everyday to see what our new friends would leave us. Carter one day said that we needed to make our secret friends cookies to thank them and that's what we all did. Carter also mentioned that he would like to do this for a family next year. I am so proud of my son and his thoughtfulness towards others. Can't wait to be the secret friend to someone sometime soon.

Christmas Decorating!

 Super EXCITED that they finally get to decorate the tree.

 Nadya was really careful with the ornaments. To hang one it took her near 

five minutes, no joke.

 After seeing Nadya do it Tysen all but threw it at the tree, he thought that was 

funnier plus he realized if he was fast he got to put more on.

 Carter begged and begged all month to get the tree up we wanted to wait till after his birthday. But from now on we will let him decide if he wants the tree up before or after his birthday.

Family Birthday Party

 Dad and Grandma Bramhall worked very hard on this Fire Fighter truck for Carter.

 Both sides gathered together to celebrate Carter's birthday.

 Nadya was not wanting to giver her present to Carter.

 Tysen could not wait to bonk Carter on the head.

Friends Birth Day Party

 Meeting the fire chief before the party started.

 The fire fighters taught them about fire safety before they saw the trucks.

 Carter was the first one to sit in the drivers seat, he was in heaven.

 All of his friends that were able to come.

 Playing pop the balloon to see if you win. None of them were heavy enough to pop the 

balloons so we had to assist.

 These are the 4 amigos. Austin is the one in the dark sweater. Bryce is in the striped shirt. Brent is in the light blue shirt. Carter loves to have play dates with all three of these boys.

Happy 5th Birthday Carter

 Carter got to choose what he wanted for lunch, his favorite Sprite and chicken nuggets.

 His birthday theme this year was Fire Fighters. Here he is posing as we are getting ready for his party. 

This is an outfit given to Carter by grandma Whitelock. When carter put it on he just kept saying how much he looked like a stud and how happy he was that his grandma bought it for him (pants slightly too long but he did not care).

Oh my sweet little Lee Bee where on earth has time gone that you are now 5. You have grown to be such a comedian, people are always amazed at your ability to speak like you are 15 rather than 5. You are so loving and kind, you always have hugs and kisses for me and your dad. You are the best big brother that Tysen and Nadya could have asked for. You are always helping me with the twins and things around the house. I love that you love to learn and that you catch on easily to new things being taught to you.

You are now weighing in at  38.14 pounds and are 40.55 inches tall. You were so brave at the doctors when you had to get your shots. You tried really hard not to cry so that when it was Tysen and Nadya's turn they wouldn't cry either. You kept telling them that it was ok and that you could go get suckers and stickers afterwards. Your brother and sister look up to you so much.

Carter right now you are learning to read in school and you are picking it up quickly. You love that everyday at school you get to do some sort of farm chore. Your favorite food is ravioli and candy. You love to drink chocolate milk (not white that seems to take you longer to drink). You love to try to distract us so that you can stay up longer by telling us that you have a question, then you have to think about what your question is. You are very good at stalling us and visitors when they come so that they don't leave too soon. You love to do homework (make me proud). You love to be outside shoveling snow and making snow cones to eat.

You are a very incredible boy and we are so blessed that you were sent to us. Always remember how much we love you and that your Heavenly Father loves you as well and that you are never alone even when it may seem as though you are. We can't wait to see what this year brings you. We love you so much son.
