Carter got to go to his first in theater movie on July 9, 2011. Bet you all can't guess what movie it was, that's right Cars 2. The movie was way too long and is probably only worth renting, not seeing in theaters but Carter had a blast. He got to open up a present which was a Cars 2 shirt and at the theater he got his own popcorn, drink and candy (perhaps the best part was having his daddy all to himself).
So lately we have been giving the twins new food experiences some go better than others do and more often than not we have to try it over and over before we figure out if they like it. Luckily for us on the watermelon it took pretty fast. The only downer for me is the sticky mess that gets every where. Pictures taken on July 7, 2011.
We went to Wheeler Farm on a very HOT July day (the 7 of 2011 to be exact) and had a blast. Carter had soo much fun showing his friend Brent everything that there is to do. They were scared to death to feed the ducks but did it anyways and ran whenever one of the ducks would come to close. The twins did pretty good considering it was hot and they were stuck in the stroller the whole time. I think that perhaps the favorite of everyone was getting to sit on the tractor even the twins loved watching what the other kids would do.
Welcome to the final events of 2011. Our children even the twins loved seeing fireworks soo much so that Tysen had to be caged up. Every time Bob went to light a firework Tysen and Carter started to dart towards it (looks like we have pyros), can't wait to see what these two will be like in their teen years. Nadya liked them but she was also terrified of them. I think the best part of the night was the picture that the Bishop took of our entire family. I mean look we are all looking and some what smiling.
During the afternoon of July 4, 2011 we went up Mill Creek Canyon and had a picnic with my mom's side of the family. It was alot of fun despite the fact that it rained on us a majority of the time. We went on hikes, did crafty projects, hung out, ate, played in the fire and squished bugs. We were surprised at how well the twins did considering they did not get a nap but they did got to try new foods and were held most of the time, can't beat that.
Welcome to the 4th of July 2011 events. In the morning we battled doing pictures of ourselves by ourselves (I think they turned out pretty good). We also attended a not soo good tasting breakfast where we were rained on se we promptly left and ate at grandma w's (much better breakfast). Please notice that the bow Nadya is wearing is made from a real pepsi can (they are not dangerous at all) how cool is that.
I took these on July 3, 2011 because I simply could not resist how cute my babies are and check out Nadya's outfit. Oh and they are all smiling (well Carter's doing his new smiling thing which I hope he grows out of soon).
